lady: oh ok,i was from ij too.the one at the victoria street last time.
me(in my head) : huh???there was a ij sch at victoria st?
lady: so,are you a roman catholic?
me: huh?no.
lady: ok,because in my times,one have to be a roman catholic to be in an IJ convent.
me: oh ok,nowadays dont need
lady: IJ girls cant speak singlish ok? it will show through. we are proper english speaking ladies.
me: oh ok
lady: so what do you think of singlish?
me: give singaporeans character but shouldnt be used when talking to a large audience.{blah..}
lady: yea,i agree
